I'm So Sorry I Have To Write This

WARNING: This post contains details about sexual violence, rape, murder, and abuse.

Today, March 8th, is International Women's Day, part of Women's History Month, where we celebrate the achievements and contributions of women.

The month also began with a shocking report about the treatment of Israeli women by Hamas.

Earlier this week, the United Nations finally issued a report on sex crimes during the attack on Israel on October 7th. The rest of the intelligent world didn't need a UN inquiry to tell us these atrocities happened; we heard from the freed hostages themselves.

Side note: Isn't it amazing that when Hamas, a known terrorist organization, makes a statement the media simply accepts it and asks questions later, but for violence against Israel, they patiently wait months for a UN study before maybe accepting it as real?

In this report, the UN states there was “clear and convincing information" that sexual violence had been committed against the hostages held in Gaza, including rape, sexualized torture, cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment. Worse, in all likelihood it is still happening to our hostages.

What they discovered is so horrendous I can't even type it. Additional details about the report's contents are available in this Times of Israel article.

Yet what is the international response?

Code Pink, whose tagline is "Women for Peace" are harassing pro-Israel congressmen. The "Squad" refuses to condemn Hamas. So-called "progressives" seem perfectly comfortable cheering on an Islamist organization that deploys sexual violence.

To be a Zionist means you are on the side of women. Arab women experience a greater sense of freedom in Israel than nearly every Arab country. Women in Israel have the very reproductive freedom that so many progressives seek in the United States. Israel has already had a female head of state.

So the fact that so many pro-women organizations are so anti-Israel is a reflection of our society's willingness to turn against Jews at the drop of a hat.

For me, during Women's History Month, I'm celebrating the amazing, powerful, badass women of the IDF.

These heroes are fighting to free their sisters from captivity. They are fighting to protect our beloved state of Israel. And they are fighting a cowardly foe; both the Hamas terrorists hiding in Gaza, and the Jew haters who hide behind anti-Zionism.
