Righting a Few Wrongs

Palestine Invaded by Arabs!

It has been well documented by those who read and study history that there never was a Palestinian state. Yes, the area that is now Israel (and Jordan) was once called Palestine, but as you'll see below, Palestine used to mean something different.

The flag of Palestine featured the star of David. The passports and coinage had Hebrew that referred to Eretz Yisrael (the land of Israel). And check out these headlines from 1948:

As Golda Meir correctly pointed out, it's not like there were Jews, Arabs, and Palestinians. There Were just Jews and Arabs. In 1948 the Arabs invaded Palestine in an attempt to exterminate the Jewish population. They failed and modern state of Israel was born.

It was about 15 years later that Yasser Arafat came along and established a "Palestinian" identity, flag, and movement that has inspired terror and war in the region for decades.

Genocide in Palestine

Y'all just saw the headlines of the last attempted genocide in the history of Palestine. The current war, while tragic and destructive, does not even approximate the level required to even consider the world "genocide."

First of all, if your side started the war can end it by releasing hostages, you are not experiencing a genocide.

Let's, for a moment, pretend we live in a world where we can trust the statistics that come from a genocidal terrorist organization (Hamas). There have been an estimated 50,000 babies being born in the Gaza strip since the war started (another reason Hamas should surrender). This means that despite the war, the Palestinian population in Gaza will certainly increase this year over last.

Those who use the word "genocide" should consider that the Ashkenazi Jewish population still has not fully recovered from the Holocaust.

But of course we cannot trust the word of Hamas. They do not distinguish between combatant and civilians. Every death that has happened, whether it was caused by misfired rockets, Israeli strikes, or even natural causes, in some cases, is counted as a civilian death caused by Israel. The teenage who was killed after stabbing Israeli cilvilians? That's a child in their books.

According to Andrew Fox, Hamas is claiming that there are roughly 38,000 deaths in Gaza. Israel believes they have killed about 60-65% of Hamas' fighters, which is 24,000. Of the 38,000 deaths Hamas has claimed, 10,000 or so are completely unverified. Roughly 4500 people would have died of natural causes since October as well.

Civilian casualties appear to be below 10,000 in actuality. Truly a remarkable accomplishment for the IDF given the density of the population and Hamas' preference for using human shields.

When the dust settles, armies will study this war and use it as a model for how to conduct war in a civilian population while minimizing casualties.

Why Am I Telling You This?

This information is not to take away from the suffering of those affected by this war. Jewish tradition teaches that every life, even those of our enemies, is sacred. But the lies that are pervasive in anti-Israel protests and propaganda are bleeding into Jewish life. They are causing a shocking spike in antisemitism. They are affecting public policy towards Israel. And if we don't correct the record and insist upon the truth, no one else will.

Israel didn't want this war. They have never wanted any war. Yet the find themselves fighting a cowardly enemy that puts its own people at risk while suffering from international pressure that questions their right to exist.

Spread the truth, for Israel's sake.

Oh By the Way...

I've run out of writing steam for the day, but look up the following things:

  • Israel is still being shelled by Lebanon

  • Tens of thousands of Israelis are displaced from the North

  • And it seems like the college campus protests are being funded by Iran
